Perryville
Perryville today is the site of a beautiful 19th century granite step dam, creating a half-mile long pond. It is the turning point where the trail leaves the closed Lower Perryville Road in Dudley and proceeds upstream on the Webster side of the river. The beginning of the envisioned Trolley Line Trail is several hundred yards to the right up Perryville Road. Land in Webster has been donated to the town of Dudley for a boat launch. Perryville is an excellent location for wildlife viewing.
Lower Perryville road is paved and used today by many recreational walkers
The site could be fenced attractively for safety and picnic facilities added to increase appreciation and use.
The site contains a 19th century granary building which could potentially be refurbished to become an interpretive center
